ATLAS 3 DEBUT IS A SUCCESS
After a series of delays over the past month, the brand new Atlas 3A US/Russian
rocket roared into space on its inaugural flight. The rocket cleared the launch
tower Wednesday at 7:10 EDT, and the upper stage positioned the Eutelsat W4 satellite
in a preliminary parking orbit.
